From there we continued our trip to the town of Magsaysay ,where we met the LGU officials led by Mayor Eleonor Barera-Fajardo. Engr. Gordovez brought as to the Barera Farm Resort also at Magsaysay where we met former mayor Marleo Barrera, who hosted lunch for us and some invited people for our preliminary discussions about our purpose in coming over. Present in this caucus were Mayor Eleonor B. Fajardo, Mrs. Adelina Barrera-Valencia, a few farmers using organic fertilizers, ex-Mayor Marleo Barrera and some municipal officials.

Day 2.  Engr Ronald Reyes of the Solid Waste Management dept of the Muninicality  of San Jose paid us a visit at Sikatuna hotel and had a discussion of our subject organic fertilizer. The preparation for the meeting set up for 1PM with our group was also discussed. We then proceeded to the Municipal hall and made a courtesy call  to Mayor Jose T. Villaroza. The mayor was out on an appointment but his staff assured they will send a representative to our meeting in the afternoon. The meeting proper facilitated by Engr Ronald Reyes, was promptly held at 1:00 o’clock p.m. Held at the multi purpose function hall of the MPDO, it was well attended by various sectors headed by Municipal Councilor Toti Abelida, Ex-Mayor Marleo Barera, Mrs. Adelina Valencia, and SWM personnel and farmers. NMC presented thru power point, a  background info about our cooperative and focused on our bio-organic fertilizer product. A brief question and answer followed after which recommendations and comments were made by the participants . Snacks were served by the SWM group of Engr Reyes. The meeting ended around 4:00 PM.

Day 3.  Site visitation. With Engr. Gordovez, we visitied the proposed site for the organic fertilizer plant to be set up. The site is in the outskirts of the municipality of San Jose, a ricelands  area needing a lot of improvements. After lunch, we went to Magsaysay and conferred with Ex-Mayor Barera concerning developments and feedbacks gathered from yesterday’s meeting. The former mayor presented  several options, using an existing cooperative which he set up as our conduit and other matters. We then proceeded to the available site owned by the cooperative for the proposed tie-up. The area is already with existing facilities - mechanical palay dryer, bagsakan facilities and a building adjacent to a ricemill. The meeting ended favorably in the evening. The Mindoro group will facilitate the groundworks for the tie -up of their cooperative with NMC in the organic fertilizer project.
